Entry Level Construction Engineer

Join Our Team as an Entry Level Construction Engineer!

KL Engineering is seeking an Entry Level Construction Engineer to join our Madison, Wisconsin office and contribute to impactful transportation construction projects. This is your opportunity to be part of a collaborative and innovative team that values your expertise and supports your growth.

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead and Contribute: Work alongside experienced engineers on transportation construction projects and assist with design efforts as needed.
  • Observe and Evaluate: Conduct on-site construction observation, materials testing, and project documentation to ensure quality and compliance.
  • Collaborate and Communicate: Serve as the on-site representative, engaging with contractors and project teams to resolve field issues and maintain project momentum.
  • Design and Support: Assist with CAD-based design work during winter months and contribute to the development of plans and specifications.
  • Grow and Develop: Be part of a team that values mentorship, learning, and professional development.

What We’re Looking For:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.
  • Experience: Internship experience in construction and/or design. 
  • Skills: Some knowledge of AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or MicroStation; strong communication and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Certification: FE Exam completion preferred.
  • Eligibility: Must be authorized to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
