Junior Data Engineer

Job Title: Junior Data Engineer

Location: Washington DC 

Duration: 12-15 months (Possibilities of extension)

Responsibilities:

Develop, test, and maintain Python-based applications and scripts

Write optimized SQL queries, views, and stored procedures

Design and maintain database objects in systems like MySQL, Oracle, or Microsoft SQL Server

Support data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes

Assist in building and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions

Deploy and monitor applications in cloud environments like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud Platform

Document code, deployment processes, and technical configurations

Required Skills:

Strong foundation in Python programming (OOP concepts preferred)

Good understanding of SQL (joins, indexing, subqueries, aggregations)

Basic knowledge of relational database design

Understanding of CI/CD concepts (build, test, deploy automation)

Basic understanding of cloud computing concepts (compute, storage, networking)

Strong problem-solving ability

Willingness to learn DevOps and cloud technologies

Good communication and teamwork skills

Attention to detail

Nice to have:

Familiarity with containerization tools like Docker

Basic knowledge of RESTful APIs

Understanding of Infrastructure as Code concepts

Experience with monitoring/logging tools in cloud environments

Internship or academic project involving deployment automation

Education

Bachelor’s or Associate degree in:

Computer Science

Information Technology

Data Analytics

Selection Process & Training: 

Online assessment and technical interview by Quintrix.

Client Interview(s). 

4 weeks of pre-employment online instructor-led training. 

Stipend paid during Training: 

$500.
