Grant Research & Writing Intern
Grant Research & Writing Intern (Remote)
About the Opportunity
Are you a strong writer passionate about mental health advocacy? Flourishing Peaceful Families is looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Grant Research & Writing Intern. This is a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the "business of breathing"—helping a private mental health practice secure the funding necessary to provide critical services to youth and families.
This is a remote internship with the potential to transition into a paid part-time position based on performance and funding success.
What You’ll Do
As our lead researcher and writer, you won't just be "filling out forms." You will be the architect of our growth strategy.
Prospect Research: Identify and vet grant opportunities from corporate foundations, state government agencies, and private entities that support mental health and family services.
Proposal Development: Draft compelling, evidence-based narratives that articulate our impact on youth and family wellness.
Strategy & Alignment: Work directly with leadership to align our clinical programs with the specific requirements of potential funders.
Tracking: Maintain a "Grant Calendar" to ensure all deadlines for LOIs (Letters of Inquiry) and full proposals are met.
Who You Are
A Storyteller: You can take clinical data and turn it into a moving narrative about human impact.
A Detective: You enjoy the "hunt" of finding obscure funding opportunities that others might miss.
Self-Starter: Since this is a fully remote role, you are disciplined and communicative.
Mission-Driven: You have a genuine interest in mental health, social work, or community development.
Requirements
Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a degree program in English, Communications, Public Health, Social Work, or a related field.
Strong academic writing skills (previous grant writing experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate).
Proficiency in Google Workspace/Microsoft Office.
Internship Perks
Direct Impact: Your work will directly fund therapy and support services for families in need.
Mentorship: Receive direct feedback and professional development from our agency leadership.
Flexibility: 100% remote with flexible hours to accommodate your class schedule.
Career Path: We are looking for a long-term fit; successful interns will be first in line for a permanent part-time role.
