About Alphius
Alphius is building cloud-native backend systems on Microsoft Azure. Our platform focuses on scalable APIs, background processing, and distributed cloud architecture.
We are looking for a Backend Engineering Intern who wants hands-on experience building real production systems — not just academic projects.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and extend backend APIs using Python and Django
- Build background tasks using Celery and Redis
- Optimize PostgreSQL queries and improve performance
- Work with Azure services including App Service, Blob Storage, and Service Bus
- Assist with Docker-based deployments
- Debug and monitor applications using Azure Application Insights
- Participate in code reviews and Agile development cycles
- You will work directly with experienced engineers and contribute to live production systems.
What We’re Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
- Strong Python fundamentals
- Experience with Django or Flask (coursework or personal projects welcome)
- Understanding of REST APIs
- Familiarity with Git
- Comfortable working in Linux environments
Nice to Have
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure or AWS)
- Experience with Docker
- Knowledge of PostgreSQL
- Basic understanding of authentication (JWT, OAuth, RBAC)

Internship Details
- Paid position ($1,200-$2,200 monthly)
