PAY AND BENEFITS
Annual Pay Range: $64,128.88 - $81,115.31
Hourly Pay Range: $30.831194 - $38.997744
Salary offers will be made within the posted pay range and will be based on a candidate's experience (paid or unpaid) that is directly relevant to the position.

The Clackamas County District Attorney's Office is seeking a motivated, collaborative individual with strong communication and organizational skills to join the Criminal Unit as a Digital Evidence & Discovery Technician. This role requires the ability to complete high volume, time sensitive work assignments in a fast paced environment while maintaining accuracy and careful attention to detail.
If you are selected for this position, you will be responsible for identifying, requesting, logging, and redacting digital evidence for criminal cases, compiling and sending discovery materials to defense attorneys and pro se defendants, providing trial assistance to Deputy District Attorneys, and other work as assigned. The digital evidence that you will be responsible for handling includes sensitive and confidential visual and audio media, documents, photos, and other materials collected by law enforcement. The discovery of these materials will require your careful attention to detail, application of technical knowledge, ability to accurately track and invoice discovery packets. Additionally, you will provide trial preparation assistance for homicides and highly publicized cases, including creating exhibits and making redactions to digital evidence using specialized software.

Required Minimum Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*
• A minimum of one (1) year of related experience that would provide the knowledge and skills to perform the responsibilities of this position, including experience in all of the following:
• Case management
• Working with sensitive and confidential information
• Applying knowledge of legal principles, concepts, systems, processes, and terminology
• Establishing priorities and managing workload with minimal supervision
• Researching information, tracking, compiling, and monitoring data, and/or maintaining records in databases, spreadsheets or paper filing systems
• Providing customer service and/or responding to customer inquiries
• Working with external parties to provide services, clarify, problem solve and/or obtain additional information
Preferred Special Qualifications/ Transferrable Skills:*
• A minimum of three (3) years of related experience that would provide the knowledge and skills to perform the responsibilities of this position, including experience in all of the following:
• Case management
• Working with sensitive and confidential information
• Applying knowledge of legal principles, concepts, systems, processes, and terminology
• Establishing priorities and managing workload with minimal supervision
• Researching information, tracking, compiling, and monitoring data, and/or maintaining records in databases, spreadsheets or paper filing systems
• Providing customer service and/or responding to customer inquiries
• Working with external parties to provide services, clarify, problem solve and/or obtain additional information
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience working with a digital evidence management system such as Axon
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience editing or redacting digital files such as videos, audio recordings, or photographs
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience using specialized software programs for redaction of digital files such as videos, audio recordings, or photographs
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience applying legal concepts to redact sensitive information, including financial or personal information
• A minimum of one (1) year of experience analyzing, compiling, and delivering discovery materials in a legal setting
• Knowledge of legal time constraints and deadlines related to criminal proceedings
• Law Enforcement Data Systems (LEDS) Certification

WORKING CONDITIONS
Cases involving charges related to homicide and violent crime involve processing visual and audible digital evidence that may emotionally disturbing.
WORK SCHEDULE
This position works 40 hours during a standard workweek of Monday through Friday. Specific hours of work will be discussed with the candidate selected for this position at the time an offer of employment is extended.
This position is designated as on-site/in-person. It is expected that the selected candidate will perform duties at the specified on-site work location.
