Internship Overview
This is an unpaid, for-academic-credit internship designed to provide students with structured experiential learning in go-to-market strategy and customer discovery within an early-stage consumer brand.
The internship prioritizes education, mentorship, supervised participation, and reflection. All activities are designed for the primary educational benefit of the student and align with university experiential learning requirements.
What You’ll Learn & Be Exposed To
Interns will gain hands-on exposure to how early-stage brands bring products to market, including:
How go-to-market strategies are developed for consumer products
How founders position and pitch products to customers, partners, and buyers
How customer feedback shapes brand messaging and strategy
How storytelling, positioning, and product education influence adoption
How academic concepts translate into real-world startup decisions
Learning-Focused Activities
Under direct supervision, interns may participate in:
Observing and analyzing TESSO’s go-to-market strategy
Conducting guided market and customer research
Shadowing founder-led customer or partner conversations
Participating in supervised pitch practice and role-play sessions
Assisting with post-meeting reflections and strategy analysis
Completing reflection assignments required by the academic institution
Interns may observe and occasionally participate in customer conversations as part of a learning experience, but are not responsible for closing sales, managing accounts, or generating revenue.

Qualifications
Currently enrolled undergraduate or graduate student eligible for academic credit
Interest in marketing, entrepreneurship, business strategy, or consumer brands
Strong communication and curiosity-driven mindset
Comfortable learning in a fast-paced startup environment
