Job Description

SUMMARY
Effectively manage the learning environment to prepare lesson plans, instruct students, evaluate and monitor students’ performance in order to advance student achievement. Understand and appreciate diversity.
Work collaboratively with a team to plan instruction. Demonstrate commitment to continuous learning.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Arizona Elementary Certificate with Drama/Theatre Approved Area OR Dramatic Arts, PreK-12 Endorsement 
OR

Arizona Middle Grades Certificate with Drama/Theatre Approved Area OR Dramatic Arts, PreK-12 Endorsement 

OR
Arizona Secondary Certificate with Drama/Theatre Approved Area OR Dramatic Arts, PreK-12 Endorsement 
OR
Arizona Subject Matter Expert Certificate 6-12 with Drama/Theatre Approved Area
OR

Theatre Education, PreK-12 Certificate


Current Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card


PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS
Demonstrated success in engaging African American and Latino students
Bilingual (Spanish) endorsement

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS AFTER HIRE
Proof of immunity to rubeola (measles) and rubella (German measles), or proof of MMR immunization.

COMMENTS

Effective: 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR 
Location: Dodge Magnet Middle School - Pima & Craycroft Area 

FTE: 1.0 – 7.5 hours per day 
Work Calendar: 9.5 month  

 

Teacher will provide instruction for one (1) period of music, one (1) period of theatre, one (1) period of performing arts and two (2) periods of general study skills. 

 

Positions less than 30 hours per week are not eligible for district benefits. 

 

Salary will be prorated if the start date is after the first day of the work calendar for the position.
