DoseOptics is a pioneering medical device start-up company that has developed the world’s first camera system capable of imaging radiation therapy treatments directly on patients. Having recently received FDA clearance, we are in the early stages of commercialization and poised for rapid growth. Our core team is made from world class scientists, engineers, and clinicians working together to develop novel imaging technologies with a goal to improve radiation therapy treatments leading to improved outcomes and saving lives.
Position Summary
We have an exciting opportunity for a motivated and detail-oriented Engineer. This role will have responsibilities in software quality and development. It is a critical role for ensuring the reliability, functionality, security, and usability of our medical applications. This role uses expertise in engineering to ensure our products meet the stringent requirements of the medical device industry and maintaining robust quality. We are looking for someone who excels at finding the cracks and bugs in a system.
Depending on the candidate, this position could be a split role between software development and software QA.
Key Responsibilities
- Break things (productively): Perform exploratory testing on our imaging software to find edge cases, test unusual workflows, and track down issues.
- Identify, document, and report system and software defects and inconsistencies.
- Develop and execute test plans and test cases for our medical devices.
- Collaborate with developers, engineers, and clinicians to reproduce and troubleshoot issues.
- Assess the optimal toolset for engineering and quality frameworks, and recommend improvements to our processes.

Qualifications
- Highly motivated engineer with excellent technical analysis skills.
- Good communication and collaboration skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, quality assurance, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Basic understanding of QA processes.
- Located in the Upper Valley, Lebanon NH, or the Boston area.
