Web Developer Intern

 

Are you a college student who is passionate about web development? Do you want to gain hands-on experience and learn from a team of professionals? If so, you might be interested in joining our web developer internship program.

As a web developer intern, you will work on various web development projects for internal needs. You will assist with creating and testing apps, as well as maintaining websites and web applications, using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies, including game development. You will also have the opportunity to learn new skills, tools, and frameworks, and collaborate with others.

Responsibilities:

  • Developing and updating websites and web applications using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and other web technologies.
  • Testing and debugging websites and web applications for functionality, usability, and compatibility.
  • Creating and modifying graphics, images, and icons for web use.
  • Researching and implementing new web development trends and best practices
  • Communicating and collaborating with other developers, designers, and project managers.
  • Documenting and reporting on web development progress and issues.

Requirements:

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college or vocational school, majoring in web development, computer science, or a related field.
  • Have a solid understanding of web and app development fundamentals, such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and web standards.
  • Have experience with web development tools, such as code editors, browsers, and developer tools.
  • Have a portfolio or samples of previous web development projects.
  • Have excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.
  • Be able to work independently and under supervision.

Time Commitment:

  • Interns can expect to work at least 10 hours a week or less (depending on the academic requirements). You can set your hours, which can be done from Monday to Sunday, as long as you complete your project. This is a flexible, remote position.  We will work with you in accordance with your schedule and academic requirements. The final schedule will be established between the intern and the director. Internships are available year-round based on student and organizational needs. Internships typically last 3–4 months, so both the student and the organization can make the most of the internship experience. Upon completing your internship (if it is an academic requirement), you can continue or volunteer.
  • "This position qualifies for academic credit with the appropriate institution's approval." Interns may also obtain program or course credit for this experience with their educational institution's approval.  Although this is an unpaid internship, it is eligible for academic or course credit with your school's approval.
