Business Strategy & Finance Associate (In-Person, NYC)
Location: Midtown Manhattan (In-Person, 5 days/week)
Compensation: 50-60k, commensurate with experience
Reports to: Manager of Business Strategy
About the Role
We are hiring a Business Strategy & Finance Associate to support execution-heavy initiatives at a growing, founder-led healthcare organization. This role is best suited for an early-career professional with prior exposure to finance, consulting, or business operations who has worked inside a U.S.-based business environment and is ready for increased ownership, judgment, and proximity to leadership.
The core responsibility is translating leadership intent into action by grounding decisions in an overall strategy rooted in clear financial analysis. The associate will work with people, timelines, and structuring workstreams, to ensure that strategic decisions are carried through to real-world outcomes.
The associate will work day-to-day with the Manager of Business Strategy and will support select leadership-driven initiatives that require discretion, reliability, and comfort operating without perfect information.
What You’ll Do
- Support high-priority strategy and operations initiatives with a strong emphasis on execution and follow-through
- Financial modeling and analysis
- Development of business strategies
- Translate leadership direction into structured workstreams, timelines, trackers, and concrete deliverables
- Coordinate cross-functional initiatives involving operations, growth, systems, and regulatory readiness
- Support leadership-driven projects that require judgment, discretion, and strong organizational skills
- Track progress on complex, time-sensitive initiatives and proactively surface risks, tradeoffs, or bottlenecks
- Prepare concise written summaries and updates for leadership discussions
- Act as a connective layer between leadership intent and day-to-day execution across teams
This role involves quantitative work (tracking, operating metrics, summaries) but is not centered on dashboards: it is centered on financial analysis and business strategy.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree from a U.S.-accredited institution
- Examples include finance, consulting, financial operations, strategy
- Demonstrated experience producing written, analytical, or operational deliverables for managers or senior stakeholders
- Strong written communication skills and sound professional judgment
- Ability to manage multiple workstreams with reliability, discretion, and follow-through
- Comfort working in person in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities
Preferred Qualifications (Strongly Preferred)
- Background in finance, consulting, or business operations, such as:
- Internal finance
- Investment banking or transaction services
- Management or strategy consulting
- Corporate strategy or business operations roles
- Experience working with budgets, forecasts, operating metrics, or leadership-level business decisions
- Exposure to healthcare, professional services, or another regulated industry
- Familiarity with standard business tools (Google Sheets / Excel, internal trackers, CRM or project tools)
