Qualifications

  • Above-average skills in Planning and executing Lessons.
  • Excellent skills in Communicating both orally and in written form.
  • Able to create a positive classroom community and build relationships with students.
  • Able to engage students in rigorous content and well-planned, well-paced lessons.
  • Skilled in classroom management (high warm and high firm).
  • Has excitement, joy, and passion for teaching kids and personal development/learning.
  • Open to feedback and continuous growth.

 

Responsibilities

  • Prepares detailed lesson plans.
  • Uses a variety of teaching methodologies to create an engaging and safe classroom setting where all students are held to high expectations.
  • Incorporate technology in meaningful ways into instruction and learning.
  • Grades all assignments, tests, quizzes, and projects in a timely manner, using the grading scale provided by the school.
  • Maintains discipline in the classroom to ensure maximum learning.
  • Provides an uncluttered, healthy, and neat classroom that promotes a good learning and working environment.
  • Communicates with parents on an “as needed” basis regarding their student’s academic or behavioral status in the class.
  • Frequently communicates with students, parents, and colleagues throughout the day.
  • Manage student behavior to foster academic achievement, personal responsibility, intellect, and individuality in all students.
  • Other duties as needed.
