Toddler Co-Teacher

Position Summary:

Are you passionate about exploring young children’s interests and building the social - emotional competence of toddlers aged 15 months - 2+ years old? Have you been looking for co-teachers and colleagues who also believe in an emergent curriculum for children birth to 5 years old? Our curriculum is play-based, emotionally-sensitive, and inspired by progressive early childhood education theory. Knowledge in these areas is essential. This position reports to the executive director. Teachers are members of the union.

Shift time: 8:30 - 4:30 Monday through Friday

Opening is available ASAP

Qualifications:

• Teachers should be licensed by EEC, with a “Lead Teacher” or “Teacher” certification.
• 2- or 4-year degree
• English fluency is required.
• Basic computer skills, such as email, are important.
• A background check and a writing sample are required.
• All candidates must be documented as healthy to work with children and must be able to move freely in the classroom, including sitting on the floor. You must be able to lift a 30-pound child.

Compensation:

• $21.82 - $24.08 per hour, based on EEC licensure and level of education
