Description
The Warehouse Assistant Manager is responsible for the timely, accurate, and efficient fulfillment of resource orders and receipt of inventory. It is also accountable for warehouse operations including inventory accuracy and personnel development.
This position will allow one to impact others through a service mindset centered on making an eternal difference. This position should display our Core Values of SERVE (Serve, Equip, Relate, Value, Engage) when interfacing with both internal and external customers to ensure that the message and mission of Answers in Genesis is portrayed in an effective and God-honoring fashion. Responsibilities
- Promote the mission and standards of Answers in Genesis.
- Create a SERVE culture environment in all work done.
- Approach all tasks with a second mile mindset.
- Prioritize personal integrity in all interactions and assignments.
- Oversee and promote the spiritual, personal, and professional development of all team members being led.
- Accurately process inbound purchase orders.
- Monitor and appraise job results of the Fulfillment Center receiving team along with associated coaching and counseling.
- Utilize and train volunteers to process inventory.
- Ensure accurate pricing and stickering of inventory.
- Receive and shelve incoming stock
- Process customer returns
- Restock shelves
- Receive and log incoming supplies
- Maintain a clean and neat work area.
- All other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
Requirements
- Must agree with and be able to sign our Statement of Faith.
- Maintains a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
- Regularly attends a local Bible-believing church.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Proficiency in Word and Excel.
- Physical requirements include:
- Lifting and Carrying: Ability to lift and carry up to 75 lbs occasionally and 50 lbs frequently.
- Mobility and Stance: Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching for the duration of the entire shift (typically not longer than 8-hours).
- Environmental Exposure: Ability to work in a warehouse environment with fluctuating temperatures and exposure to moderate noise levels.
- Equipment Operation: Capability to be trained on and safely operate heavy machinery, such as a forklift or pallet jack.
Education & Experience
- Two years related experience.
- Forklift experience preferred.
