Volunteer & Resource Specialist

Since 1977, Child Crisis Arizona has been a symbol of hope, responding to the call of our community to prevent and intervene in child abuse and neglect. Our mission is to provide children and youth in Arizona a safe environment, free from abuse and neglect by creating strong and successful families.

The Community Partnerships Department is seeking to hire a Volunteer & Resource Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operation of our Distribution Center and coordinate the agency’s volunteer program. You will spend each day organizing incoming donations, processing emergency referrals from case managers and program staff, preparing for scheduled food pantry days and program events, monitoring inventory needs, and ensuring the Distribution Center is ready for volunteer activities. This role includes direct interaction with clients through the Emergency Diaper Referral Program and the food pantry, requiring a high level of cultural sensitivity and compassionate service and flexibility to adapt to the different settings within this role.

As volunteers arrive, you will train and support volunteers, assign tasks, and maintain a welcoming and productive environment.  Throughout the day, you will communicate with program staff and case managers to understand their supply requests, coordinate fulfillment of those needs, and maintain accurate records of the items flowing in and out of the resource distribution. You will also collaborate regularly with the Development department to support group volunteer activities and represent the agency at volunteersupported events.
