Sunday Gathering Residency
Sunday Gathering Leadership Residency
Alliance Community Fellowship | Fort Worth (Alliance Corridor)
Alliance Community Fellowship is a growing, Acts 2–shaped church in the Fort Worth area committed to forming fully devoted followers of Jesus who love Jesus, live in biblical community, and live on mission.
We are seeking a Sunday Gathering Leadership Resident to be developed and discerned as a future Worship and Gathering Pastor.
This 12-month residency is designed for a seminary student or ministry-minded worship leader who senses a calling to pastoral worship ministry and wants hands-on formation in a healthy, gospel-centered local church.
About the Residency
This residency is not primarily about performing music. It is about learning to shepherd God’s people through gathered worship. You will be trained to lead worship that is Christ-centered, Spirit-led, and rooted in Scripture, while developing as a pastor, leader, and disciple-maker.
You will serve alongside our current Worship Leader and pastoral team and receive intentional mentoring, real leadership opportunities, and meaningful ministry responsibility.
What You Will Do
- Lead and assist with worship during Sunday Gatherings
- Lead worship for the Student Ministry on Wednesday nights
- Participate in weekly worship planning and service design
- Be trained in song selection, transitions, prayerful leadership, and gathering flow
- Rehearse and serve with volunteer musicians and vocalists
- Help shepherd and disciple worship team members
- Learn how to recruit, schedule, and develop worship volunteers
- Receive coaching and mentoring from pastoral leadership
Time Commitment
The Sunday Gathering Leadership Residency is designed to be a 15–25 hour per week commitment, depending on school schedule and season of life.
This includes Sunday Gatherings, Wednesday Student Gathering, rehearsals, and coaching and planning time with pastoral staff.
We will work with each resident to build a healthy and sustainable weekly rhythm that supports both their ministry development and their academic or family responsibilities.
Some on-campus presence during the week will be expected for rehearsals, planning, and mentoring, but this role is not defined by sitting in an office. We care far more about presence with people and excellence in preparation than clocked desk hours.
Who We Are Looking For
We are looking for someone who:
- Loves Jesus deeply and lives in submission to Scripture
- Has musical ability and experience leading worship
- Has a heart to shepherd people, not just lead songs
- Is teachable, humble, and eager to grow
- Feels a potential calling toward vocational ministry
- Is willing to serve, learn, and be formed in a local church
What We Offer
- Hands-on worship leadership in a growing church
- Pastoral mentoring and spiritual formation
- Real responsibility and leadership development
- Opportunities to lead on Sundays and with students
- Discernment toward possible full-time pastoral ministry
- A healthy, gospel-centered, elder-led church environment
