Social Media Intern

  • Duration: 10 weeks, 30 hours per week
  • Schedule: June 10th - August 19th
  • Location: Primarily remote, with occasional travel required to our Cedar Knolls, NJ office for purposeful engagement. Candidates should be within driving distance of the Cedar Knolls, New Jersey Office

 
Objectives of This Role:  

The media team is responsible for developing comprehensive omnichannel media campaigns to meet client goals. The media team gathers target audience insights from research tools and media partner insights, including consumption habits, channel preference, etc, and collaborates with account, strategy, and creative teams to ensure that media strategies are properly integrated within larger marketing programs and creative executions. The social media team plays an integral role in Fingerpaint’s larger media team, ensuring that clients paid or organic social media strategies, targeting, and creative align with larger media and brand goals.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to gain hands-on experience in digital marketing within the healthcare industry. You will assist with campaign management, data analysis, content creation, and more.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with organic content calendar development 
  • Assist with organic content scheduling and posting 
  • Ensure social page, posts, and ad mockups align with social best practices  
  • Building and QAing paid social campaigns and ads 
  • Analyze platform data and assisting in campaign optimizations 
  • Assist in report development  
  • Budget tracking for paid campaigns  
  • Expand knowledge of each social platform’s ads management interface  
  • Perform competitive research to identify opportunities in paid social for our clients 
  • Stay up to date on social media trends and platform updates, especially as they relate to the pharmaceutical industry 
  • Attend meetings (internal status, vendor capabilities presentations, etc.) and take notes and ask questions  

  

Job Requirements:

  • Ability to commute to Cedar Knolls, NJ for occasional events and meetings   
  • Strong interest in set-up and strategy of paid and organic social media campaigns 
  • Attention to detail  
  • Ability to multitask and be adaptable in a fast-paced environment 
  • Has understanding and basic experience of social media platforms 
  • Microsoft Office experience, especially Excel 
  • The ideal candidate will step out of their comfort zone and challenge themselves to learn more about the industry as a whole 
  • Team player willing to build relationships across internal counterparts (such as account, project management, creative, etc.), as well as with outside vendors
