Early Career- Environmental or Civil Engineer

Job Title: Environmental Engineer or Civil Engineer
Job Type: Full-Time

Overview:
We are seeking an entry-level Environmental or Civil Engineer to join our growing environmental team in Allentown, PA. This role is ideal for recent graduates or professionals with up to two years of experience who are interested in environmental remediation and site civil work. The successful candidate will support a variety of projects focused on protecting public health and the environment through assessment and cleanup of contaminated sites. They will also support a variety of projects as it relates to land development and civil site work.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with environmental site investigations, including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling.
  • Support remediation system design, operation, and maintenance activities.
  • Perform field work related to environmental assessments and remediation projects.
  • Support the development of stormwater management systems and erosion & sediment control plans.
  • Perform basic engineering calculations and analyses under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Prepare technical reports, data summaries, and regulatory submittals.
  • Coordinate with project managers, laboratories, and subcontractors.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal environmental regulations.
  • Participate in health and safety training and follow site-specific safety plans.

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Engineering,  Civil Engineering, Environmental Science or related field.

0–2 years of relevant environmental, civil or remediation experience (internship or co-op experience a plus).

Knowledge of environmental regulations and remediation practices preferred.

Ability to work in the field and office environments as required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office; familiarity with AutoCAD or GIS is a plus.

Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.

 

Preferred Skills:

Interest in soil and groundwater remediation technologies.

Basic Engineering Calculations 

Basic understanding of sampling methods and data interpretation.

Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Strong organizational and time management skills.
