Chocolate Production Associate

The Chocolate Production & Customer Experience Associate plays a key role in both the back-of-house chocolate-making process and front-of-house retail operations. This is a hands-on position designed for someone who has experience in and enjoys working with food, engaging with customers, and is able to work with us to help grow the business.

This position offers cross-training in:

• Artisan chocolate production
• Retail Sales and Customer Service
• Inventory Management
• Seasonal Merchandising

Key Responsibilities

🍫 Chocolate Production

• Assist in the preparation and production of handmade chocolates, truffles, fudge, bark, and seasonal items
• Follow recipes and food safety standards with precision
• Package and label products for retail display and special orders
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in kitchen and prep areas
• Support seasonal production scaling (Valentine’s Day, Easter, holidays)

🛍 Customer Service & Retail Operations

• Provide warm, personalized customer service
• Assist customers with product selection, gift baskets, and special orders
• Operate POS system and handle transactions accurately
• Restock displays and maintain visually appealing merchandising
• Manage online and phone orders as needed

📦 Operations Support

• Assist with inventory tracking and supply restocking
• Support opening and closing procedures
• Help coordinate custom and corporate orders
• Participate in seasonal planning and promotional execution

Management Development Track

This role is designed to transition into a supervisory or management position based on performance and initiative.

Development areas include:

• Team supervision and scheduling
• Vendor communication and ordering
• Sales tracking and performance metrics
• Customer relationship management

Qualifications

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Experience working with Chocolate or confections
• Strong customer service and communication skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including holidays and weekends
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality

Preferred:

• Food service, chocolate, bakery, or retail experience
• Interest in culinary arts, hospitality, or small business management
• Supervisory or leadership experience (not required but a plus)
