Autism & Special Education Internship Opportunity – East Texas A&M University Students

Marigold Learning Academy & ABA Therapy Centers is excited to partner with East Texas A&M University to offer hands-on internship opportunities for university students pursuing careers in Autism, Special Education, Behavior Analysis, Speech, Occupational Therapy, and related fields.

This internship is designed for students who want real-world experience supporting children with autism within a natural educational setting that blends accredited academics with Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA). Interns will work alongside experienced clinicians and educators to support individualized learning, behavior goals, and classroom engagement.

What You’ll Experience
• Hands-on learning within structured classrooms focused on skill generalization
• Mentorship from Special Education teachers, BCBAs, and multidisciplinary team members
• Opportunities to help develop and implement measurable goals aligned with university coursework
• Exposure to evidence-based practices used in natural school environments
• Support in translating academic assignments into real-life clinical and educational strategies

Ideal Candidates
• Students pursuing Special Education, Psychology, ABA, Speech, OT, Education, or related fields
• Individuals passionate about supporting children with autism
• Students seeking practicum hours, observation experience, or field-based learning opportunities
