The mission
Impactist exists to give impactists an edge and help drive the impact economy mainstream. (https://impactist.co/) You will help build a lean, high-trust publication that curates the most consequential impact news and insights using technology plus human judgment.
What you will do
- Own editorial judgment: decide what gets published and what gets ignored
- Use aggregators, RSS feeds, and AI tools to source stories, generate angles, draft summaries, and outline features
- Write, edit, and polish final copy in a clear, concise style (no jargon, no clickbait)
- Publish content (CMS), add links, and ensure proper author credit and attribution
- Maintain standards: facts first, fast corrections when needed
What we are looking for
- Journalism, writing, communications, or similar background (or equivalent portfolio)
- Strong editor instincts: accuracy, taste, clarity, and speed
- Comfortable using AI responsibly to move faster without sacrificing truth
- Reliable, self-directed, and consistent with deadlines
Why this role matters
You will be a founding voice and gatekeeper for a publication designed to be a beacon for the impact-first movement. You will work closely with the Resonary team and can grow into a larger editorial or lead role as the publication scales.
