Weekend Sales Associate
We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Weekend Sales Associate to assist customers in selecting mobility and recovery equipment that meets their needs. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, a consultative sales mindset, and the ability to educate customers on product features and safe usage.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys helping people, thrives in a retail sales environment, and is comfortable discussing health-related products with professionalism and empathy.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assess their mobility or recovery needs
- Recommend appropriate products such as: Manual wheelchairs, rollators & walkers, knee scooters, mobility scooters, braces & supports, compression stockings, walking boots & crutches
- Demonstrate proper use and basic safety instructions for equipment
- Process sales transactions accurately using POS system
- Assist with light equipment setup and minor adjustments
- Maintain showroom organization and cleanliness
- Answer phone inquiries regarding product availability and pricing
- Coordinate with management regarding inventory needs
- Support weekend rental pick-ups and returns
Qualifications
- Retail or sales experience preferred (medical, pharmacy, or DME experience a plus)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to explain products clearly and patiently
- Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs (occasional equipment movement)
- Basic computer proficiency
- Reliable and punctual
- Compassionate, professional demeanor
Preferred Traits
- Background in healthcare or caregiving
- Experience working with seniors
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
- Goal-oriented and motivated by sales performance
Compensation
- Competitive hourly wage (starting at $20/hour)

Schedule
Saturdays: 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Sundays: 10:00 AM – 3:00 PM
