Administrative Assistant DEIG Office (March 2026-August 2026)

Summary Description:

The Office of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Global Education at BB&N is seeking a temporary Administrative Assistant, from March 2026 through August 2026, to provide high-level administrative support for the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Global Education (DEIG) Officer.  The Administrative Assistant will serve as a source of information and ensure the smooth operation of the day-to-day activities of the office. 

 

Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

Key functions for this position include, but are not limited to: 

  • Comanage the DEIG Officer’s email and calendar in a timely, organized manner, including responding to meeting invitations and independently resolving scheduling conflicts with professionalism and discretion.
  • Coordinate and support logistics for meetings, events, and activities, including preparing materials and arranging domestic and international travel.
  • Support day-to-day logistics and operations for the DEIG office, including maintaining organized systems, tracking priorities, and ensuring smooth administrative workflows.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Global Education (DEIG) inquiries, providing welcoming, respectful, and culturally responsive communication on behalf of the DEIG office. 
  • Maintain and update global education documents, online folders, and shared resources to ensure accessibility, accuracy, and alignment with DEIG priorities.
  • Support updates to program application processes for students and trip leaders, helping ensure clear communication, equitable access, and organized record-keeping. (Primarily for Global)
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Requirements, Skills, and Competencies:

A Bachelor’s Degree or the equivalent is preferred, with at least 1-3 years of administrative support experience.

In addition, the ideal candidate will demonstrate the following:

  • Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize competing tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Clear, professional, and culturally responsive communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage confidential information with discretion.
  • Ability to work independently, anticipate needs, and proactively resolve scheduling or logistical challenges.
  • Commitment to BB&N's values in daily work.
     

Salary: $26.00 - $30.00
