Technical Project Manager
LNK Energies is looking for an experienced Technical Project Manager who thrives in ambiguity and takes deep ownership of their work. This is not a passive coordination role—you will represent LNK in the development and installation of our first LOHC hydrogenation plant, working directly with our EPC partner, internal engineering team, and customers to ensure successful delivery.
You will not be doing the detailed engineering or construction yourself—the EPC will handle that. Your responsibility is to ensure the plant is executed correctly, aligns with customer requirements, and is delivered smoothly from final design through onsite installation and commissioning.
This role requires someone who is exceptionally detail-oriented, highly communicative, and resourceful. You must be comfortable asking hard questions, resolving gaps between stakeholders, and proactively solving problems before they escalate. You will serve as the connective tissue between engineering, construction, and commercial teams.
If you are passionate about building real-world energy infrastructure, enjoy operating with ownership rather than oversight, and want to play a defining role in bringing first-of-a-kind facilities online, this position offers outsized impact.
Responsibilities:
EPC Coordination & Oversight
- Serve as LOHC’s primary point of contact to the EPC
- Review EPC deliverables (design packages, schedules, equipment lists) for alignment with LOHC and customer requirements
- Identify gaps between customer needs and EPC design early and drive resolution
- Track schedule milestones and escalate delays
- Coordinate technical clarifications between EPC engineers and LOHC’s internal chemical engineer
- Ensure EPC understands site-specific constraints and customer interface requirements
Stakeholder Alignment
- Translate customer delivery and installation requirements into actionable inputs for the EPC
- Communicate project status, risks, and decisions to customers and internal leadership
- Facilitate decision-making when tradeoffs arise (cost vs schedule vs performance)
- Ensure plant configuration matches commercial commitments
Pre-Installation Planning
- Coordinate logistics for equipment delivery
- Confirm site readiness and installation prerequisites
- Ensure EPC field teams have required access, utilities, and documentation
- Identify potential field conflicts before mobilization
Onsite Installation Oversight
- Be physically present during plant installation and commissioning phases
- Resolve field issues quickly by coordinating between EPC, customer site teams, and internal engineering
Required Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in chemical, energy, petrochemical, or industrial process environments
- Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related technical field
- Project management experience in a technical field
- Strong ability to review and interpret technical documentation (PFDs, P&IDs, equipment specifications, layouts)
- Willingness to travel and be onsite during installation and commissioning phases
Preferred Qualifications:
- Chemical Engineering background with experience bringing a new process, product line, or plant expansion online
- Experience coordinating with EPC contractors, vendors, or external engineering partners
- Direct experience working in or with a chemical plant, refinery, process facility, or similar industrial setting
