Customer Service Intern

Job Description – Customer Service/Sales Support Intern

 

The Customer Service / Sales Support Intern (CSSSI) person acts in a support capacity to the sales staff and will be a contact for walk-in and call-in customers. The CSSSI supports all company sales activities from inside the office and has a wide variety of duties and responsibilities.

 

Some Responsibilities Include:

  1. Take customer calls and write up phone orders.
  2. Wait on walk-in customers including loading products in customer vehicles when needed.
  3. Process credit card sales, both phone-in and on-site.
  4. Follow the company’s marketing strategies.
  5. Enter orders accurately to aid in order processing.
  6. Sell products per terms and pricing programs.
  7. Work with co-workers, who have other areas of responsibility, in a team approach to achieve maximum results for the entire company. 
  8. Work as a backup in shipping/receiving, both small package and truckload as time allows.
  9. Other duties as assigned.

 

Qualifications:

  • High degree of professionalism in attitude and personal presentation.
  • Computer skills with Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Self-motivated and interested in the success of self and company
  • Able to work independently within a team environment
  • Strong communication skills, time management skills and inter-personal skills
  • Able to lift up to 60 lbs.
