Job Summary: As a Summer Intern at Rensa Filtration, you will have the opportunity to work on meaningful projects that align with our company’s goals and provide hands-on learning experiences. Each intern will be assigned a manager at their specific place of work who will guide them, provide feedback, and ensure a valuable experience. You will connect with professionals across departments, attend team meetings, participate in cross-functional projects, and expand your network. At the end of the summer, you will have the chance to showcase what you’ve learned to the Rensa Senior Team through a brief presentation outlining your experiences and insights.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct Detailed Scrap Analysis and Reduction of Carbon Media Produced in Rando Pleating Operations – Pleats & Rigid Cell
- Determine reason codes for scrap
- Track reason codes to determine current scrap level
- Calculate % of scrap by reason code
- Determine Root Cause of reason codes
- Determine Corrective Action for reason codes
- Develop tracking/reporting system for continued tracking.
- Conduct Time Study and Methods Analysis in Pleat and Rigid Cell Departments
- Conduct detailed Methods Analysis on Pleating and Assembly Operations
- Conduct Time Studies to determine accurate production rates.
- Ensure safety procedures are embedded in the processes
- Collaborate with your assigned manager to receive guidance and feedback.
- Connect with professionals across various departments to gain a broad understanding of the company.
- Attend team meetings and participate in cross-functional projects.
- Expand your professional network within the company.
- Prepare and deliver a presentation to the Rensa Senior Team at the end of the summer, outlining your experiences and insights.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in a relevant field
- Strong interest in the air filtration industry and a desire to learn.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
