Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Speech Language Pathologist to join our team. This position works with pediatric patients, providing assessment and treatment for speech, language, and communication disorders. This role requires a strong understanding of physiology and anatomy, as well as the ability to develop individualized treatment plans that cater to the unique needs of each child.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify speech and language disorders in children.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on patient needs and goals.
  • Provide therapy sessions that incorporate evidence-based practices in speech therapy.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and other professionals to support the child's communication development.
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.
  • Educate families on strategies to support their child's communication skills at home.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of patient assessments, treatment plans, and progress notes.
  • Stay current with advancements in speech therapy techniques and best practices.

Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
  • Valid state license or certification as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Experience working in a school setting or with pediatric populations is preferred.
  • Experience with swallowing evalutions and treatment.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology related to speech and language disorders.
  • Familiarity with early intervention strategies and patient care best practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for effective interaction with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Ability to perform patient assessments accurately and develop appropriate therapeutic interventions.
