Wildflower Pediatric Therapy is seeking a friendly and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our dynamic healthcare team. Responsibilities
- Assist licensed physical therapists in implementing comprehensive care plans tailored to each patient’s needs.
- Deliver hands-on therapies and functional play to promote healing and mobility.
- Monitor patient progress by observing responses to treatments and documenting outcomes accurately in medical records.
- Prepare treatment areas and equipment for therapy sessions, maintaining a clean and organized environment compliant with safety standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care for inpatient, outpatient, home health, or skilled nursing facility patients.
- Stay current with developments in physiology knowledge, medical terminology, and physiotherapy techniques to enhance treatment effectiveness.
Requirements
- Certification as a Physical Therapy Assistant (CPTA or equivalent) is required.
- Demonstrated experience working in pediatrics is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology principles relevant to rehabilitation practices.
- Proficiency in medical terminology and documentation standards for accurate record-keeping.
- Excellent patient care skills with a compassionate approach to diverse patient needs.
