Summer Vacation Rental Property Cleaning Job Description

 

Job Status: Part Time; Seasonal Mid May - Mid September

Avg hours/week: 10-20

Employment Status: 1099 Contractor 

Rate: $20-$27/hr depending on skill set
 

Requirements: 

-Reliable transportation to travel to different properties (all within 20 min of Downtown Holland) 

-Ability to work independently or as part of a team 

-Ability to lift, bend, kneel, and work efficiently to meet turnover deadlines between reservations

-Must be 18 years or older 

-Daily availability between 10 AM-4PM, including some weekend days

-Great organization and problem solving skills; aesthetically minded and detail oriented

-Must provide their own cleaning equipment and supplies for most properties

-Working smartphone to receive schedules and to be able to clock in

-Ability to follow checklists and property-specific instructions

 

This position is responsible for post-stay cleanings of a variety of vacation rental properties in the greater Holland area. Our cleaning team is a critical piece of the guest experience. Each property has a variety of reservations over the summer and the cleaning team will come in between reservations, generally 10 AM-4 PM, and clean the interior of the property. 
 

Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly clean all rooms, including disinfecting bathrooms, kitchen surfaces, appliances (microwave, oven, fridge), mopping floors, vacuuming, and dusting
  • Refilling and restocking cleaning supplies and toiletries 
  • Change all bed linens, towels, and blankets
  • Ensure furniture is correctly placed and free of stains and debris
  • Monitor the interior of cabinets and noting missing or broken items 
  • Check interior of kitchen appliances and cleaning as needed
  • Empty trash and clean out trash cans as needed
  • Water exterior plants 3-5x/week (only certain properties)
  • Check windows of properties for cobwebs, finger prints, etc and clean as needed 
  • Check for property damage, missing items, or broken appliances, and report them immediately to the property manager
  • Remove any trash and place in the dumpster 
  • Demonstrates pride in their work and a strong sense of care for the property while paying attention to detail. 
  • Other cleaning related duties as assigned
