Property Maintenance Assistant Job Description

Job Status: Part Time; Seasonal Mid May - Mid September

Avg hours/week: 10-15

Employment Status: 1099 Contractor 

Rate: $20-$24/hr depending on skillset

Requirements: 

-Reliable vehicle to travel to different properties (all within 20 min of Downtown Holland) 

-Ability to work outdoors in any weather condition 

-Physical ability to bend, crouch, and lift objects 

-Must be 18 years or older 

-Daily availability between 9 AM-3PM, including some weekend days

-Great organization and problem solving skills; Aesthetically minded and detail oriented

-Access to leaf blower, hand tools, and push mower desired but not required 

This position is responsible for maintaining the exterior components of each property between guests and general cleaning and outdoor maintenance at a resort style property. The person in this role is the last person on the property before guests check in. 
 

Responsibilities:

• Empty trash cans multiple times per week 
• Monitor pool for debris and clean as needed
• Keep pool loungers and chairs neat and clean 
• Pull weeds on community and individual patios and/or spray weed killer as needed
• Clean pool bathroom 3x/week
• Water plants 3-5x/week 
• Check property for trash, debris, and anything out of the ordinary
• Use blower to clean leaves, branches, debris off patios and decks 
• Ensure patio furniture is in place and clean 
• Wipe down cobwebs from lockboxes, outdoor lighting fixtures, and furniture 
• Clean off air conditioning units as needed
• Clean grills and check propane levels; clean and maintain condition of grill covers
• Check windows of properties for cobwebs, finger prints, etc and clean as needed 
• Report any issues, broken exterior items, missing items to team
