Job Title: Summer Intern – International Supply Chain & QA
Department: Global Supply Chain & Quality Assurance
Reports To: Sr. Director, International Supply Chain / Quality Assurance
Internship Overview
The International Supply Chain & QA Intern will support the Global Supply Chain & Quality Assurance team by helping to build, organize, and standardize an electronic supplier and distributor database for international markets. This role is project‑based and focused on improving visibility, accuracy, and accessibility of supplier information used across Supply Chain, QA, and cross‑functional partners.
The internship offers hands‑on exposure to global supply chain operations, supplier management, quality documentation, and master data fundamentals, while contributing to a high‑impact, real‑world deliverable used by the business.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the development and population of a centralized electronic database containing international supplier and distributor information (Approved Supply List).
- Collect, validate, and organize supplier data, including:
- Supplier and distributor contact information
- Market and country coverage
- Product or ingredient categories supported
- Relevant quality, audit, or certification documentation (as available)
- Support data cleanup, standardization, and consistency across multiple international markets.
- Work with Supply Chain and QA team members to understand data requirements and definitions for global supplier records.
- Document database structure, data fields, and basic maintenance guidelines to support future use and updates.
- Assist with ad‑hoc analysis, reporting, or summaries related to international suppliers and distributors as needed.
- Create cost benchmarks across all major markets for chicken, flour, frying oil, fries, biscuits, and packaging (all converted to USD).
- Assist with product registrations for new countries (on an as needed basis).

Qualifications & Skills
Required:
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Data Analytics, Information Systems, Operations, or a related field
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with structured data
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint; comfortable working with databases or data systems
- Strong organizational and documentation skills
- Clear written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
- Interest in global supply chain, international business, or quality assurance
- Familiarity with data management, master data concepts, or documentation systems
- Ability to work independently on a defined project while collaborating with a broader team
Internship Deliverables
By the end of the internship, the intern is expected to deliver:
- A clean, organized, and usable electronic database of international suppliers and distributors, and product specifications
- Supporting documentation outlining data fields, sources, and recommended maintenance practices
- Summary insights or observations related to data gaps or improvement opportunities (as applicable)
