Accounting Intern
About the Role
The Accounting Intern will gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, technology-driven accounting environment. This role supports the Accounting team across the full accounting cycle, from accounts payable and receivable through month-end close. The intern will work closely with the Financial Controller and accounting team members, with potential exposure to accounting automation projects depending on timing and business need.
What You'll Do
- Support accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including invoice processing, payment application, and vendor/customer correspondence
- Assist with banking activities, including transaction recording and bank reconciliations
- Participate in month-end close, including journal entry preparation and posting
- Perform account reconciliations and help resolve reconciling items
- Assist with documentation of accounting procedures and internal controls
Depending on timing, potentially contribute to one or more accounting automation projects aimed at improving efficiency and accuracy across the close process
What We're Looking For
- Currently pursuing a degree in Accounting or a related field
- Familiarity with core accounting concepts and the full accounting cycle
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems is a plus but not required.
- Self-starter who can manage assigned tasks independently and ask good questions when needed
