School Based Speech Language Pathologist
Horizon Healthcare Staffing is searching for multiple Speech Pathologists (SLPs) in Delaware County, PA!
We are hiring for both Early Intervention (EI) and Preschool Classroom programs.
Full-time and part-time available!
Location: Upper Darby, Yeadon, Broomall, Lansdowne, Aston
Schedule: Monday – Friday | Part-time candidates must be available 2 days/week.
Hours: 8:00am-3:30pm
Responsibilities
- Develops educationally relevant IEP goals and objectives in collaboration with teachers.
- Develops, implements, monitors and revises therapy programs during individual and group treatment sessions.
- Submits written reports to appropriate sources according to schedule utilizing required formats/forms and maintains all service-related records.
- Participates in department meetings, all staff meetings and team meetings and various school clinics.
- Maintains open communication with family/guardian and child study team case manager as required on an individual basis.
- Fosters and maintains collaborative relationship with teachers, classroom support staff, and resource staff while monitoring therapeutic programs.
Assignment Details
Early Intervention (EI) Program
- Provide services to preschool-aged children in community-based settings such as preschools and daycares.
- Travel required within Delaware County; efforts are made to keep clinicians within one zone to minimize travel time.
Preschool Classroom – Aston Early Childhood Center
- Work within a structured classroom setting serving students with global developmental delays and Autism.
- Provide therapy in both individual and small-group formats as appropriate.
Qualifications
- Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Specialist Certification (Required)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (Required)
- Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (Required)
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
- Fingerprint clearance through the PA Dept. of Education (We reimburse!)
