Salary: $90,173 – $139,398 (2026 NH-03 Pay Band with Locality Pay) 

Mission 

The mission of Space Training and Readiness Command (STARCOM) is to prepare U.S. Space Force (USSF) forces to prevail in a contested, degraded, and operationally-limited environment. We achieve this through the deliberate development, education, and training of space professionals; the creation of space warfighting doctrine and tactics; and the operational test and evaluation of USSF capabilities. 

Your Role  

We are seeking a command headquarters-level Logistics Management Specialist to serve as a key analyst and policy developer. Your primary purpose is to apply in-depth analysis and knowledge of life cycle logistics management and maintenance information systems to identify trends, develop policies, and create programs, doctrine, and procedures. You will be instrumental in establishing and maintaining programs that ensure the readiness and effectiveness of the USSF. 

What You'll Do 

As a Logistics Management Specialist, you will independently plan and execute assignments, and work with team members to devise solutions for highly complex challenges. Your major duties will include: 

 

 

Support Agreement Management 

Collaborate with stakeholders to plan, develop, and manage complex support agreements for the Field Command. You will review all active agreements, develop cost estimates, negotiate changes, and introduce innovative approaches to increase efficiency. 

Program Policy Formulation 

Formulate and implement local program policy for interservice and intragovernmental support. This includes conducting briefings, leading negotiations, developing training, and ensuring all agreements are executed in accordance with command guidance. 

Life Cycle Logistics 

Provide expert technical advice on Life Cycle Logistics. You will analyze the efficiency of logistics support, provide input on Life Cycle Sustainment Plans (LCSP), recommend policy changes, and ensure the full integration of all logistics elements during the acquisition process. 

Quality Assurance & Communication 

Monitor existing contracts to ensure all requirements are met. You will also organize and present oral communications and pursue professional development to support the agency's mission. 

  

What You Bring to the Team 

Ideal candidates will be independent, innovative problem-solvers with a strong background in logistics and program management. Key qualifications include: 

U.S. Citizenship and the ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. 

Proven experience as a Logistics Management Specialist or in a similar role. 

Expertise in applying analytical and evaluative methods to assess program effectiveness. 

In-depth knowledge of Life Cycle Logistics and Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements. 

Strong ability to plan, develop, and manage complex programs and agreements independently. 

Excellent communication, negotiation, and liaison skills for coordinating with internal and external stakeholders. 

Experience with quality assurance monitoring of government contracts.
