Chemistry Internship

Job Description

In this internship, you will gain valuable experience and exposure to cross-functional teams working on new product development and optimization. You will have the opportunity to present your projects and experiences to the leadership team at the end of the summer. This internship is part of RPM Industrial Coatings Group’s succession planning and applicants should have a strong desire to work for RPM post-graduation. This position is in our Greensboro, NC Innovation Center of Excellence.

The Chemistry Internship is designed to give students hands-on exposure to the day-to-day operation of our research and development lab while developing your professional skills and providing you with knowledge of various frameworks. Alongside a designated project, the internship responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Perform testing of finish products and various samples including in-process samples, stability samples, and raw ingredient samples.
• Complete sample preparation within your scope of assigned tests.
• Perform laboratory experiments independently or with other team members as instructed.
• Maintain laboratory space, equipment, and inventory in accordance with internal policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program pursuing a degree in Chemistry, Microbiology, Chemical Engineering or related physical science with an expected graduation date between Spring 2027 and Spring 2029.
