We're seeking a skilled Digital Communications Systems Technician (DCS Tech). You will be responsible for the installation, configuration, and maintenance of critical enterprise voice and data infrastructure, ranging from traditional PBX systems to modern Cloud Services like MS Teams and Zoom.

Location: Los Angeles, CA 90063

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in the installation, configuration, and repair of digital telephone PBX and key switching systems.
  • 1+ year of experience must be at the journey-level.
  • Proven expertise in configuring and troubleshooting Voice over IP (VoIP) equipment within enterprise call control platforms.
  • Hands-on experience with Cloud Services integration, specifically Microsoft Teams, Web-Ex, and Zoom.
  • Technical proficiency in cabling infrastructure, including the installation and repair of copper and fiber-optic cables, patch panels, and jacks.
  • Specialized knowledge of digital communications equipment such as modems, channel banks, multiplexers, and repeaters.
  • Physical Ability: Must be able to lift 25+ lbs, climb 6-foot ladders, and perform tasks involving bending, crouching, and reaching.
  • Education & Licensing: High School Diploma or GED; Valid Class C driver’s license with no restrictions.
  • Safety Essentials: Strong color perception and visual acuity are required for low-voltage wiring and color-code identification.

Unique Technology Experience Needed

  • The DCS Tech must have specific hands-on familiarity with the following technologies and protocols:
  • Switching Systems: Digital Private Branch Exchange (PBX) and key telephone switching systems.
  • Infrastructure Hardware: Servers for voicemail, call recording, IVR, and automated attendants.
  • Networking Circuits: Digital network telecommunications circuits, multiplexers, and session management platforms.
  • Wiring Standards: Expert-level knowledge of tip-ring and low-voltage wiring color codes for voice functionality.
  • Cloud Collaboration: Enterprise-level configuration for MS Teams, Web-Ex, and Zoom audio-video integration.

 

Job Types: Full-time, Contract

Pay: $60,000.00 per year
