AI Cybersecurity Developer/Engineer

About the Role

We are seeking an entry-level AI Cybersecurity Developer Engineer to join our growing team at the intersection of artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and modern development. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer passionate about building secure AI-enabled applications, developing cyber defense solutions, and working hands-on with modern deployment and container ecosystems.

You will contribute to projects involving AI-powered cybersecurity workflows, secure model deployment, and developer-facing tools supporting next-generation cyber operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in designing and developing AI-enabled cybersecurity applications and automation tools
• Build and integrate backend services and workflows using Python
• Support deployment and packaging of applications using Docker and container best practices
• Work with local/on-prem and cloud-native orchestration tools such as Kubernetes for scalable AI security platforms
• Develop and customize interfaces and integrations with OpenWebUI for AI interaction layers
• Contribute to frontend or tooling workflows leveraging Node.js/NPM ecosystems
• Collaborate with cybersecurity SMEs to implement secure-by-design AI systems
• Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and continuous improvement of security-focused development pipelines

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Strong programming experience in Python
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts such as Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and model deployment pipelines
• Foundational knowledge of cybersecurity principles such as threat detection and mitigation, secure software development, and network/system security basics
• Experience or exposure to Docker, Kubernetes, NPM/Node.js tooling, and OpenWebUI or similar AI interface frameworks

Preferred Qualifications

• Hands-on project experience in AI security, cyber automation, or secure AI deployment
• Familiarity with SOC workflows or cyber defense tools (SIEM, EDR, etc.)
• Experience with API security and authentication methods (OAuth, JWT)
• Familiarity with Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or Helm
• Experience working in Agile development environments
• Strong curiosity about adversarial AI and AI threat modeling
