Seeking an up-and-coming Accounts Payable professional to join a thriving medical supply company in Mequon, WI! This is a direct-hire, full-time opportunity in Mequon, WI. Target salary is $50,000 – $60,000 plus benefits and perks. The role is onsite to start, but there is potential for hybrid flexibility down the line once trained. No visa sponsorship, relocation assistance, or subcontracting arrangements are available.
Responsibilities of the Accounts Payable Associate:
- Review, verify, and process invoices
- Match purchase orders to receipts and invoices, and track down any discrepancies
- Process payments via ACH, electronic transfers, and check runs
- Manager vendor files: W-9s, payment records, contact info, etc.
- Reconcile AP transactions and keep an eye on aging reports
- Assist with month-end close activities like accruals and reconciliations
- Be the point of contact for vendor questions and payment inquiries
- Ensure expenses land in the right GL accounts and cost centers
- Help with 1099 prep and audit support as needed
- Identify ways to make the AP process better, faster, and smarter
Qualifications of the Accounts Payable Associate:
- A minimum required Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or similar; Bachelor's degree preferred
- 1–4+ years of AP or general accounting experience (internships count!)
- Solid handle on basic accounting principles
- Excel skills that go beyond just opening a spreadsheet (think VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, and formulas)
- Experience with ERP or accounting software like SAP, QuickBooks, NetSuite, or similar platforms
- Exposure to a high-volume AP environment
- Strong attention to detail, organization, and communication skills
- Trustworthiness when working with confidential financial information
