Assistant Manager
Do you love movies as much as we do? MovieScoop Moraine Pointe Cinemas is seeking a reliable and motivated Assistant Manager to join our awesome team!
The job of the full-time assistant manager at Moraine Pointe Cinemas is to assist the general manager with overseeing a staff of 20 people and running the day-to-day operations of a first-run movie theater. As the second-in-command, the ideal candidate will possess a strong sense of organization, efficient and effective communication skills, as well as the ability to help complete the day-to-day operations. The candidate must have some leadership experience, as well as customer service and cash handling experience, and be willing to work with / mentor theater employees to provide top-notch customer service.

Job Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Provide outstanding customer service by addressing customer inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist in managing daily store operations, including inventory management and visual merchandising.
- Support management in maintaining high standards of moviegoing excellence.
- Train, mentor, and motivate team members to enhance their skills and improve overall productivity.
- Utilize POS systems for transactions, inventory tracking, and reporting.
- Foster a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration among staff members.
- Provide direction, coaching and leadership to personnel while supporting company policies and procedures.
- Provide a moviegoing experience that is comfortable, distraction-free and picture-perfect.
- Serve fresh, appetizing and properly prepared food and beverages.
- Operate digital movie projectors. Training is provided.
Qualifications:
- You must be at least 18 years of age.
- Understand the need/value of possessing and maintaining a positive, energetic attitude.
- Comfortable with enforcing theater policies, rules, and regulations.
- Self-motivated and able to work in a high-paced environment.
- Ability to operate at a high level of organization and prioritization.
- Comfortable communicating and working with customers, supervisors, peers, subordinates and vendors.
- Prior money handling/counting experience is preferred.
- To be able to stand, walk, lift (up to 50 pounds), twist and bend on a frequent basis.
- Comfortable around computers with a working knowledge of Excel, Word and basic internet communications. (Familiarity with Macintosh a plus.)
- Have reliable transportation.
- Willingness to work nights, weekends, and holidays.
