Research Analyst I
About the Role
The Research Analyst I will support the M&A service line by providing critical market
research, data intelligence, and outreach support to drive business development and deal
sourcing. This entry-level role is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and outgoing with a self-starter mindset and an interest in private equity.
You will work closely with our sales leadership team to:
Primary Responsibility
- Initiate and manage direct outreach to company owners and executives to introduce
M&A interest and assess willingness to engage
- Engage in outbound communication (email, phone, LinkedIn) to connect with leadership at target companies and communicate interest on behalf of our clients.
- Track outreach outcomes and provide qualitative feedback to help guide sourcing
strategy.
Supporting Responsibilities
- Construct market maps to visualize and analyze competitive landscapes.
- Build a deep understanding of specific market segments.
- Identify and profile all relevant companies within those segments.
- Prioritize prospective targets based on research insights.
- Develop comprehensive company lists for targeted segments.
- Deliver summary reports and insights to inform sales outreach and investor coordination.
- Maintain organized research files and documentation.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and able to work independently
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Experience with research tools, databases, or CRM systems is a plus
