Construction Engineering Intern

French & Parrello Associates (FPA) is seeking an Intern for our Construction Engineering department in Camden, NJ.

Responsibilities

• Assist in construction planning, scheduling, and coordination of project activities.
• Support the preparation of construction documents, submittals, and field reports.
• Participate in site visits and inspections to observe construction progress and verify work quality.
• Assist with cost tracking, quantity takeoffs, and progress monitoring.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure project milestones are met.
• Conduct research on construction methods, materials, and industry best practices.
• Participate in project meetings and provide technical and administrative support as needed.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related field.
• Basic understanding of construction processes, project management principles, and field operations.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office and construction/project management software is a plus.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Willingness to work on-site and in varying field conditions.
• Eagerness to learn and contribute in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.
