Accounting Associate
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated entry-Level Accounting Associate to join our growing team. Based out of our headquarters in Garden City, NY, you will provide critical support across three core accounting functions: Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounts Payable (AP), and Contract Billing. Supporting our integration of our new D365 system and its AI functions, this position is perfect for a recent graduate or early-career professional looking to build a strong foundation in corporate accounting, with hands-on exposure to invoicing, vendor payments, and contract compliance. What will you be doing?
- Support the overall Accounting Department working cross functionally
- Assist with preparation of financial and statistical statements and reports
- Analyze financial information to identify resolve discrepancies in a timely manner
- Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards
- Work on regular bank reconciliations both weekly and monthly
- Maintain, verify, and update numerous ledgers
- Other office and administrative tasks as needed
What do you need ?
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance, Mathematics or Business Administration
- In lieu of degree, Associate’s Degree with 2 years of experience in Accounting.
- Familiarity with D365 Finance and Operations a huge plus
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to read and interpret financial documents
- General knowledge and understanding of accounting procedures
- Strong comfortability in an office environment
- Ability to perform mathematical calculations quickly and accurately
Compensation
$25-28 per hour
