About the Role: Head Teacher

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Head Teacher to lead our early childhood education program for children ages 2-6. The Head Teacher will guide curriculum planning, mentor staff, and create an engaging learning environment for young children. T

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee the development and implementation of age-appropriate curriculum for ages 2-6
• Lead and mentor teaching staff to ensure best practices in the classroom
• Communicate with parents about their child's progress and development
• Ensure that all classroom activities are in compliance with NYS licensing regulations
• Monitor and assess the overall progress of the children

Schedule: Full-time position, Monday-Friday, 8-10 hour shifts (specific hours to be discussed during interview)

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet one of the following requirements:

Option 1 – Baccalaureate Degree with State Certification: A baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field of study approved by the Department, and a valid certification issued by the New York State Education Department.

Option 2 – Baccalaureate Degree with Experience: A baccalaureate degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field of study approved by the Department, and a minimum of two (2) years of supervised and documented relevant experience in a pre-school program, provided the applicant is currently employed in a permitted child care program.
