Program Coordinator

Salary: $1,500.00 per month

Job Type: 099 contract; 20 hours per week for 6 months

Schedule: Monday-Friday:  1:00-6:00 pm(flexible/shared)

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; 3 years of administrative experience or a combination of education and experience

Mari’s Place for The Arts is a growing non-profit organization that provides arts and cultural programs to foster creativity and self-confidence in children and teens of families from all income levels and ethnic backgrounds.

About Role

Mari’s Place for The Arts is in need of a right-hand to their Executive Director. This position starts as a contract for 20 hours per week with the opportunity to grow. The Program Coordinator will support the Executive Director with administrative tasks, freeing the Executive Director to focus on community outreach. 

This position includes a range of responsibilities similar to an Executive Assistant, Office Manager, Marketing hybrid. The ideal candidate is extremely organized, comfortable adapting to change and energized by bringing organization and efficiency to a growing non-profit. 

Skills and Experience

  • Bi-lingual Spanish/English preferred
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Suite and Google Suite
  • Able to work independently and in a team environment
  • Expert verbal and written communication
  • Excellent customer service
  • Adept at creating and maintaining organizational systems
  • High standard of attention to detail
  • Able to maintain the confidentiality of sensitive information

Responsibilities

  • Administrative
  • Supports Executive Director with email and phone correspondence, and schedule management
  • Develops, maintains, and updates information systems
  • Manages office mail, supplies, and equipment
  • Answers office phone, takes messages and fields/answers routine and non-routine calls
  • Program Coordination
  • Coordinates financial aid from partner programs for student enrollment
  • Supports volunteer teachers in procuring supplies
  • Marketing Support
  • Simple website edits
  • Creating outreach materials, such as charts and flyers related to the program
