Website Designer

House of K. Symone — a creative studio rooted in wardrobe styling, editorial storytelling, and fashion education — is seeking a Website Designer + Email Newsletter Automation Assistant to support the digital infrastructure behind its growing creative ecosystem.

Led by Kaila Symone, Wardrobe Stylist, Creative Director, and Editor-in-Chief of COLOR THEORY Magazine, House of K. Symone operates at the intersection of fashion, culture, education, and narrative. The studio supports editorial productions, academic partnerships, consulting work, and public-facing programming that explores style as story, soul, and statement.

This is a paid opportunity and eligible for academic credit, ideal for a student or emerging creative interested in web design, digital media, or creative technology, who wants hands-on experience supporting real editorial and fashion-based initiatives.

Role Overview
This role includes:
Website Design & Development
• Redesign an existing House of K. Symone website
• Align design with brand identity and editorial tone
• Support backend updates and content migration as needed
 

Email Newsletter Automation & Digital Support
• Assist in setting up and automating email newsletter workflows
• Help integrate sign-up forms and contact capture systems
• Support digital needs related to editorial issues, launches, and events
 

Creative & Brand Support
• Collaborate with editorial and operations teams on digital initiatives
• Support launches connected to COLOR THEORY Magazine and House of K. Symone
• Assist with documenting digital workflows for future use
 

Qualifications
• Background in web design, digital media, graphic design, computer science, or related fields
• Experience with website builders, CMS platforms, digital marketing tools (experience is a plus)
• Strong visual sensibility and attention to detail
• Interest in fashion, media, storytelling, or creative entrepreneurship
