Part-Time Stealth Project

TCG

Part-Time — Stealth Project | The Chernin Group (TCG)

About TCG

The Chernin Group is a preeminent growth equity firm investing in sports, media, and passion-driven businesses. Founded by Peter Chernin — former President & COO of News Corporation — alongside Jesse Jacobs and Mike Kerns, TCG has spent 15 years at the forefront of sports and media, both as operators and investors. TCG was the first outside investor in Barstool Sports and The Action Network, the first and only outside investor in Fullscreen — the largest YouTube creator network — and has backed category-defining companies including Crunchyroll, Hello Sunshine, Substack, Collectors, and OURA. TCG doesn't just write checks — we roll up our sleeves and help build.

The Role

TCG is building something new at the intersection of AI, prediction markets, and media — and we're looking for a hungry, self-directed Stanford student to help bring it to life as a part-time contractor.

This is a stealth, early-stage project. You'll work directly with the team and have real ownership over what gets built.

What you'll work on:

• Building and iterating on core product across our prediction market platform and media network

• Leveraging AI tools and platforms to accelerate development and enhance the product experience

• Contributing to product direction and go-to-market alongside the founding team

What we're looking for:

• Currently enrolled at Stanford (undergrad or grad)

• Hands-on experience building with AI tools and platforms (required)

• Proficiency with GitHub and modern development workflows (required)

• Strong work ethic — you're reliable, resourceful, and move fast

• Passion for digital media, social content distribution, and how audiences discover and engage with content

• Familiarity with prediction markets (Polymarket, Kalshi, Manifold, etc.) and the broader information economy

• 10–20 hours/week availability

Nice to have:

• Strong technical/engineering skills (full-stack, ML/AI, data)

• Previous startup or founding experience

• Background in sports media, content, or creator economy

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate (flexible based on experience).

This is a rare opportunity to build at the intersection of AI, prediction markets, and media — backed by one of the most respected teams in sports and media investing.

Interested? Send a short note about yourself and why this excites you to mb@tcg.co. No formal resume required — links to projects, GitHub, or a quick Loom work just as well.
