Seasonal Park Ranger

Are you passionate about the outdoors, safety, and serving others? As a Seasonal Park Ranger, you’ll help protect North Dakota’s parks while ensuring visitors have a safe, enjoyable experience. Rangers serve as ambassadors of the park, combining public engagement, resource protection, and rule enforcement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide friendly, accurate information on park rules, trails, wildlife, facilities, and recreation.
• Patrol park grounds to promote responsible use and ensure compliance with regulations.
• Respond to emergencies, provide first aid, and coordinate with law enforcement or rescue services.
• Support interpretive programs, guided hikes, and educational activities.
• Assist with natural and cultural resource protection efforts.
• Perform routine operations and light maintenance, including trail and facility monitoring.
• Operate park vehicles and equipment safely.
• Document incidents and daily activities accurately.
• Collaborate with park staff to support overall operations and visitor services.
