Operations Intern – Carmines & Virgil’s Real BBQ

This immersive internship provides a rare opportunity to experience every side of a top-performing restaurant group. Interns will work directly with restaurant management and our support office teams to understand how high-volume hospitality operations run successfully every single day.  

This program combines hands-on floor experience, operational training, departmental rotations, and leadership exposure to help you build a well-rounded restaurants' hospitality background.

About the Role: 

Operational & In‑Restaurant Rotation: 

Work alongside FOH and BOH leadership to learn the full scope of restaurant operations 

Assisting in supervising hosts, servers, bussers, runners, and bar teams during active shifts  

Participating in opening and closing procedures, including checklists, setup, and readiness 

Helping resolve guest concerns and participating in service recovery to maintain exceptional guest satisfaction  

Monitoring service flow and communicating with Management to ensure seamless execution  

Assist with training new employees in service standards and policies 

 

Support Office Rotations: 

Gain exposure to the business side of hospitality as you rotate through: Process Improvement & Documentation Support the creation, review, and updating of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) Participate in training audits. 

Human Resources/Recruiting: Recruiting, compliance, scheduling, employee relations 

Training & Development: Learning training cycles, onboarding structure, development materials 

Digital Marketing: Guest engagement, promotions, content needs, brand voice 

Special Events & Catering: Private dining coordination, event service standards, logistics 

 

We are looking for driven, motivated candidates who demonstrate: 

Strong communication and customer service skills 

Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment 

Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills 

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail 

Proficiency in MS Excel is a plus 

Positive attitude and willingness to learn 

Passion for hospitality, supply chain management and process enhancement
