Electrical Estimator
Summary: To estimate work and cost of various jobs for potential future business by performing the following duties.
Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Obtains customers via telephone, mail or walk-in to generate opportunities for bidding on jobs.
- Assures company can perform specified jobs by evaluating job information.
- Provides estimates for jobs that result in company profits.
- Prepares job estimates and quotations on computer on a regular basis.
- Plans job functions including material, labor, and timeline requirements.
- Submits job estimates to management on a timely basis.
- Interfaces with Project Managers to perform jobs awarded to company.
- Maintains and files job records to include open bids, bids lost, bids awarded and jobs completed.
- Assists in review of completed jobs for future estimates.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
- Uses the Program Heavy Bid to create estimates for bid packages.
- Works closely with Customers and Subcontractors in order to obtain the best pricing and budgeting for bid packages.
- Works with Logistics Manager to reach out to Vendors for optimum pricing and budgeting for bid packages.
- Prepares all paperwork for bid packages.

Education/Experience:
High School Diploma or Equivalent. Engineering degree or background. Prior estimating experience required.
