Devil’s Backbone Adventure Resort is seeking an experienced, hands-on Resort Manager to lead daily operations at one of West Virginia’s premier ATV lodging providers.

About the Resort
Located directly on the Hatfield-McCoy Trail System, Devil’s Backbone Adventure Resort offers 47 cabins, 40 RV sites, and camping, along with two on-site restaurants, two pools, retail, and rider-focused amenities. Our guests expect high standards, smooth operations, and unforgettable experiences.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee day-to-day resort operations across lodging, amenities, retail, and food & beverage
Lead, train, and motivate department managers and staff
Ensure exceptional guest experiences and prompt resolution of issues
Maintain safety, cleanliness, and operational standards across the property
Manage schedules, staffing levels, and operational workflows
Coordinate with ownership and corporate leadership on performance goals and improvements
Work with corporate leadership to monitor budgets, expenses, and operational efficiency
Qualifications & Essential Skills
Previous resort, hotel, or hospitality management experience required
High school diploma required; college degree in business, hospitality, or hotel management preferred.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Comfortable in a hands-on, outdoor, and guest-facing environment
Experience managing multiple departments and seasonal staff
Ability to work weekends, holidays, and peak seasons as needed
Working knowledge of common resort and hospitality technologies, including property management systems (PMS), point-of-sale (POS) systems, scheduling and timekeeping software, and basic accounting platforms is preferred
Ability to troubleshoot basic IT and technology issues and coordinate with vendors or corporate support for system outages, upgrades, or technical concerns
