Construction Intern

Job description

Job Summary:

The Intern will work closely with experienced professionals in the construction industry to gain hands-on experience in managing and supporting construction projects. The role involves assisting with project planning, materials management, site inspections, and safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with project management and coordination, supporting construction teams in day-to-day activities.
  • Participate in site visits to monitor project progress, safety compliance, and quality assurance.
  • Help track materials, supplies, and equipment inventory.
  • Update and maintain construction documentation, including schedules, budgets, and project logs.
  • Assist with contractor communications and project team meetings.
  • Collaborate with subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to resolve issues or clarify project specifications.
  • Assist in organizing and promoting events, including webinars, trade shows, and client presentations.
  • Assist in developing marketing materials for project promotions, including brochures, flyers, and social media content.
  • Assist the management team with planning, scheduling, and tracking construction project timelines and deliverables.
  • Provide administrative support, including preparing reports, presentations, and coordinating meetings.
  • Help prepare proposals, presentations, and budgets for clients or potential clients.
  • Participate in project management meetings and assist with strategy development and implementation.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to visit and work on construction sites as needed (for construction tasks).
  • Ability to participate in office and remote-based activities for marketing and management duties.
  • Comfortable with occasional travel to job sites or events.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, or another related field. Completion of sophomore year preferred.
  • Strong interest in construction, marketing, and business operations.
  • Flexible, detail-oriented team player with the ability to manage multiple tasks, produce quality work, and consistently meet deadlines
  • Knowledge of AutoCAD or other 3D modeling systems
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving skills
  • Previous internship experience or involvement in a related student association a plus.
